We arrived in Hoi An for the lantern festival (a festival held twice every lunar calendar month when there is a full moon). It was beautiful to see the lights dulled down and all these lanterns around. It was a very busy time and it was hard to capture a perfect photo to sum it all up.
Again it was dark and a tripod would have been great here as there were load of lanterns on the river and would have been nice to capture them with a longer exposure. I struggled again with the dark and trying to capture the right colour as it often turned out a shade in the wrong directions.
Regardless, I still managed to capture a great photo of the couple having their wedding photos taken in front of the lanterns which was lovely.
The experience traveler may notice that there is a picture of the Hai van Pass in there which isn’t in Hoi An. But we travelled there for Hoi An and to be honest this was my favourite photo from the few I took.
